The debut of the Toyota HBCU New York City Football Classic presented by Walmart will be held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
NEW YORK, NY – SEPTEMBER 7, 2022: Event organizers Sports Eleven05 is proud to announce Walmart as the Presenting Sponsor of the inaugural Toyota HBCU New York City Football Classic featuring Morehouse College and Howard University, on September 17, 2022, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey live at 3 p.m. ET on CNBC.
The Toyota HBCU New York Football Classic features teams from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). The first edition of the Toyota HBCU New York City Football Classic presented by Walmart renews the historic rivalry between two premier institutions rich in heritage and tradition, both on and off the field. Howard University and Morehouse College have faced each other on the football field 37 times dating back to 1923, with Howard holding the all-time series advantage, 25-10-2. The last time the teams met was in 2015 at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.

The Toyota HBCU New York Football Classic presented by Walmart, which will be broadcast live nationally on CNBC from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, is projected to generate about $15 million in economic impact for the New Jersey and New York Convention and Visitors Bureau.
